The Engagement

Brian asked me to marry him on July 19, 2007. He filled the backyard with candles, so that when I walked out on our deck the whole back yard was lit up. And there he was, sitting in the middle of the yard, behind a keyboard. He sang to me as I stood at the railing, the tune of "Let It Be" flowing from his mouth with original Brian words. As the song came to an end, Brian came up the stairs, got on one knee, and asked. I have to admit that it was extremely romantic and personal, but my tears never came. I smiled through the whole thing. Our parents came out of the bushes with cameras and captured the final moments for us.
